Cake Poker is one of the most well-known poker rooms today. Until recently, Cake has been a safe haven for US players wanting to play poker on the net. However, as of September 2012, Cake no longer accepts Americans (although other sites on the network still do).

Having been the flagship site of their own network (the Cake Poker Network), they have built up quite a loyal following over the years. They are still part of the network, although it they have sold it and it was renamed the Revolution Gaming network. Cake Poker is constantly updating and improving their software. Some sites may have old or outdated software with poor graphics and a clunky interface, but Cake Poker certainly isn't one of them. They have clean and easy to navigate software with a focus on making game play simple and hassle free. The purely aesthetic aspects, such as player icons, are included in unobtrusive ways.
